Story

The story of Heaven Deli & Market begins in the summer of 2018, when we opened the first Heaven Deli & Market in Miramar, Florida. At Heaven we believe in family tradition and delicious food coming together.

Having nearby locations that people can visit and offering the same authentic home taste in each of our locations has made our vision a reality.

Our goal was, and has always been simple. To serve delicious, Latin inspired food at family friendly prices, and create a place where guests of all ages could come together to experience the delicious flavors of a Latin food. Heaven is where you enjoy more for less.

Summary: Prepares and handles food is responsible for recording sales transactions on cash
register and providing general customer assistance by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Preps food according to the designated station’s prep list.
2. Prepares all ingredients needed for designated station daily, following chef’s prep and
par lists.*
3. Complies with safety guidelines and minimum age requirements when handling kitchen
equipment and utensils.*
4. Follows all portion and quality standards.
5. Maintains and stocks designated station, freezers, refrigerators and store room with food
products daily; follows proper rotation system and notifies chef of any discrepancies or
shortages.*
6. Ensures all products are stored or disposed of properly at the end of the night.*
7. Cleans food preparation equipment and work areas according to health and safety
guidelines; cleans counter or tables.*
8. Adheres to all restaurant policies and procedures paying special attention to health
and/or safety requirements; communicates any concerns to management.*
9. Prepares or serves hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended
coffees.
10. Communicates with servers in a professional manner regarding customer service.*
11. Performs all closing duties of the kitchen daily as determined by chef.*

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related
experience and/or training is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and
climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
